In 1992, when tasked with organizing GoF West 1993, Lawrie Alexander sought a way of reporting on the previous year's event and promoting the event he was planning at Lake Tahoe. The idea of a newsletter to be mailed to all past GoF West registrants occurred to him and the first GoF West Gazette was the result. Now the Gazette has become at least an annual tradition, describing the activities and listing the winners from the previous year, including reports of Steering Committee meetings, etc., and announcing details of the next GoF West. A registration form for the new event is, of course, always a part of the Gazette.

Since that first issue in 1992, there has been a Gazette for every GoF West. Many have been published by the hard-working and tireless Larry Long, who continues as the current editor and publisher. With the advent of e-mail, Larry has increased the number of issues he puts out each year, so as to keep the upcoming event in front of potential registrants without the expense of printing and mailing.

Click on the links and you will be able to read all about some of the past GoF West events.
